When and where will the next film festival happen? We have scheduled KONTEKST Film Fest to take place on Thursday 27 February 2025 at SET Social in Peckham, 55a Nigel Rd, London SE15 4NP, UK.
What do you (KONTEKST Collective) offer? We can feature you free of charge in the programme of our next film festival that has already been proved to have a large audience. This way we can pass the mic to you if you have something important to say or show through your work. We want to share this festival space with other people who want to start interesting conversations.
Will I have to pay fees to have my work shown? No. We will show it for free. We want to amplify messages that matter. However, since we currently have no funding and organise this festival voluntarily on the top of our own personal commitments, it would be within your responsibility to cover for any costs related to displaying your work (eg.: if you want to set up an art installation that requires
££).
What kind of submissions do you accept? The theme of our next event is “archive” but we welcome work on other topics too, so that we can build a database for later editions. For more information on the kinds of submissions we accept, please go back to the Events page.
How will the event look like? We plan to start the day with activities that contextualise the theme, to then finish the event with a film showcase in the evening. Here is a draft timeline of the event:
- 13:00 venue opens for set-up (installations)
- 14:00 venue opens to the public
- 14:30 workshops/activities/talks start
- 18:30 set up for the main film screening starts
- 19:00 film showcase starts
- break, drinks
- 22:00 film showcase ends, music & VJs can start
- 22:30 venue closes

DISCLAIMER: - We welcome all interesting activity and installation ideas to be hosted in the daytime; - Films will be programmed into the main festival screening that will take place in the evening. If you'd rather show your film during the day in a form of an installation, we can provide you space to set it up, as long as you help us organise all necessary equipment. - After the main screening we will have a social during which we hope to play live music, we can also talk about hosting VJs and performers.

PLEASE NOTE: for accessibility reasons we will require ALL video work that is selected to be screened to have subtitles and captions in English so that members of the audience who can't hear can feel equally welcome to take part in the festival. Captions can be added already after we notify you that your film is chosen but NO LATER than 20.02.2025, which is a week before the festival.
