The Collective was founded with an intent to foster the kind of knowledge-making that comes from collaborations in-between people who come from different backgrounds. That is why we are always open to more people joining us, adding their piece to this puzzle, and in turn benefitting from this project.

Frequently asked questions and answers:

  • Who can join KONTEKST? Anyone who shares our values and vision. You don’t need to be an anthropologist, or a university student, to join.

  • Will I be required to do work once I join? We don’t require anyone to work for us unless you want to do it voluntarily. Click here to learn about our structure.

  • I want to join but I can’t come to the meetings / I don’t live in London - is there a point in me joining KONTEKST? You should still join. We have set up our platform in a way that will let you participate in our decision-making process even if you can only do it remotely.

  • How formal is the membership? Membership is an informal status and simply refers to any relationship with KONTEKST. Being featured on our members page is also voluntary - the project is here primarily to offer you a platform and to benefit you, if you want it to.

  • Is it possible to be up-to-date with KONTEKST’s public events without being a member? Yes, please sign up to our general newsletter for all news and open calls.
