The turn of century brought with it not just utopian visions but also apocalyptic terror that computer systems and critical infrastructure would malfunction across the globe, wreaking havoc on everything from alarm clocks to power grids. This film explores the sociocultural phenomenon known as ‘The Millennium Bug’ - an event encapsulating humans’ affiliation to the marking of clock-time. The debate continues: Was it a genuine technical problem averted by government efforts, or media-driven mass hysteria?
