Faux expressionism: Movement, simulation and archivism in the digital age (2024)
workshop / talk
A talk exploring the theory of Faux Expressionism (the idea that movement online is contemporarily being used to represent emotion in a way that is abstract and disconnected from its original meaning) followed by a practical workshop where the audience members were invited to experiment with motion-reactive software turning their movements into a core-core video.
Hosted at KONTEKST Film Fest: ARCHIVE (Feb 2025).
